in march we had Dolfinz and Slowcoaches come play a show at our studio and hang out with us. we did a live session thing with them because they’re the most attractive bands we’ve met doing this (sorry Fawn Spots!!).

Had a nice chap bring his bird golden eagle around today for servicing.
These are pretty cool Amps with a proper 50/60s vibe and nice verb. Problem with them is they’re full of hunts caps which are always knackered and need replacing. Also the bakelite boards get pretty conductive with age so need a good clean.
Cleaning the amp is my first task and then getting the board out is next and going through the bits
Anyway here’s some pictures

Got a vampower amp a while ago which had the loudest 60 cycle hum known to man.
These amps are pretty rare and we’re only really used by mark bolan of t rex fame.
Currently I am attempting to get this amp up and running again. I did all the basic maintenance of replacing duff caps and resistors…
